Xenos Yuen, J.D., understands the business side of law because he has years of experience working as a business executive in a major Fortune 500 company corporate environment. He served as a general manager for Enron Development Corporation in Asia from 1993-1996 with various energy projects. Enron is one of the largest independent power development companies; he led a team of development engineers, financial analysts in various parts of China and other Asian countries to negotiate and secure energy projects including the completed the 120-megawatt power plant in Hainan, China. He led and assisted Taiwan Power Corporation, the largest stated owned company, to revamp its privatization of power programs in Taiwan during 1996-97, assisting the company to rewrite the program to be project financial in the international market, a project worth over $20 billion U.S. dollars.
As early as 1992, Mr. Yuen was appointed as Honorary Trade Advisor by the Central Government of China for the Province of Hubei, a central province of heavy industries. He was invited by over 10 municipalities to speak to thousands of local merchants in relation to business and legal seminars, including with the International Arbitration Commission and lawyers in China.
Mr. Yuen considers it an honor and a privilege to practice law, and he enjoys being able to improve people’s lives. He has practiced law for more than 26 years, focusing on business and immigration law, and is the managing director of the firm Seigel, Yuen & Honoré, a general partner of Yuen Law Office, LLP, a Texas limited partnership. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 1986, and also studied at the University of Houston Law Center
Originally starting his career as a chemical engineer, and later acquiring the Professional Engineer License in the State of Texas, Mr. Yuen was educated as a Chemist and Chemical Engineer with bachelor’s degrees in the B.Sc. and B.E. with the University of Saskatchewan, Canada; one of the top 10 engineering colleges in North America. He worked in process design engineering for Cinco Engineering Inc. in Houston from 1980-1986. There, he was inspired to pursue a law career after being involved in a patent dispute of a petrochemical design on which he was the chief designer.

Today, Mr. Yuen would like to focus his extensive corporate and international business and legal experience to assist corporate and individual clients in achieving their unique business and immigration desires.
He is licensed with Texas Supreme Court since 1986, U.S Supreme Court since 1990, several Federal Courts of Appeal including 5th and 2nd Circuits Court of Appeals. He has practiced law in almost every major jurisdiction including appearances in Federal and State Courts in New York, Florida and California.
Mr. Yuen is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
